“In the beginning was the supply chain …” That was the central theme this year at the supply chain summit EXCHAiNGE 2017.
What this symbolizes is that the challenges of tomorrow can only be overcome when purchasing, finance, and logistics work together closely in a robust, hybrid-integrated supply chain.
But it also symbolizes that supply chainers must be the driving force leading the process of transformation toward Industry 4.0—and with that, the digitizing of all disciplines. This year’s EXCHAiNGE conference embraced these ideals, once again inspiring attendees with topics such as
- digital sovereignty,
- sustainable business practices,
- resilience vs. efficiency,
- the culture of digital transformation, and
- open innovation.
The conference on September 26 and 27 also gave attendees opportunities for professional interactions, including live voting during sessions, and in-depth networking.
The presentations by the finalists for the Supply Chain Management Award offered an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at their best-practice projects. At the end of an exciting final round, the happy winner of the Supply Chain Management Award 2017 was chosen.
